[Co-author] Brian was the son of Henry Thomas and Phyllis Risbridger (155/158). He was born at Loveday Street Hospital, Birmingham on 25th November 1932. He was educated in his home town of Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands (then Warwickshire), winning a scholarship to Bishop Vessey’s Grammar School. He left school to become an apprentice draftsman and then a photographic assistant, from whence he joined the Royal Navy and served from 1951  

Caer Urfa

He served in the Territorial Army with the Northumberland Hussars for a five year period. He had a partnership in South Tyneside Aquatics, a tropical and coldwater fish business, until he became disabled in 1984 through arthritis and spondilosis. Selling his house at 13 Chesterton Road, he and Anne moved out into the Cheviot Hills to a village called Glanton, but returned to South Shields in 1992 to sheltered accommodation

A Risbridger Researcher

In around 1970 Brian and Cyril Risbridger got in touch with each other. Cyril had been researching the Risbridger family and Brian had a computer. so together they produced the first version of The Risbridger Story on Brian's dot matrix printer.

The document (which was never published) is available in the Risbridger Library.
