Upon the Shoulders of Giants

This Risbridger website started in 2016 with the aim of discovering the ancestry of the Bletchingley Risbridgers. Since then, several other Risbridger genealogists have given their time and knowledge to build up the family tree. Three decades of research by Henry Risbridger culminated in his History of The Risbridgers which was never published, however we are fortunate to have obtained a copy which we have since transcribed and added to the Library.

A Dutch Connection

The best water medieval water engineers in Europe were the Dutch. Two distinct branches of the family mention Dutch ancestry, one told that they were descended from Dutch smugglers, and a newspaper article about a Risbridger clock also claimed Dutch ancestry.
