Glenn Risbridger


Son of Jesse Risbridger and Iantha Dunn. .

Born in 1888, the fifty-first year of the reign of Queen Victoria, and died aged sixty-four in the year Queen Elizabeth II took to the throne.

The Asylum


In the 1930 US Census he was recorded as an inmate of the Michigan Home and Training School, where he was a Kitchen helper. This was previously named the Michigan Home for the Feeble-Minded and Epileptic and was one of the largest asylums in the country. 2,336 people were sterilized at the Home as a result of state policy.
