Driver Risbridger


Son of Jeffrey Risbridger and Elizabeth Driver. .

Born in 1779, the nineteenth year of the reign of King George III.  He has 19 direct descendants in the family.

A life in Burstow


Driver Risbridger was named after his mother, Elizabeth Driver. This might have been because she wanted someone to continue her family name. His father had moved from Charlwood to Burstow, a distance of seven miles, most of which are now covered in Gatwick Airport. He married Elizabeth Pilbeam at Burstow on 14 Nov 1799 and they had six children.

Death

Driver Risbridger died in Southend,Lewisham, Kent. His married daughter Mary lived there.She married James SAUNDERS from Lingfield, Surrey at Burstow on 9th May 1835 (Surrey History Centre)
