Emery John Risbridger


Son of William Risbridger and Mary Ann Brodie. .

Born in 1864, the twenty-seventh year of the reign of Queen Victoria, and died aged seventy-six in the fifth year of the reign of King George VI  He has 33 direct descendants in the family.

The Omnibus Groom


Was born at 29 John Street, St. John’s Wood, London in 1864. He married Mary Ann Drew in 1884 when they lived at 13 Netherwood Street, Hampstead, London. Emery was recorded as an omnibus groom and conductor on the horse buses in the census (5/4/1891) but it is known that he followed his trade of carpenter at other times. He lived at many addresses during his lifetime, they are listed
