John Risbridger


Son of Benjamin Risbridger and Mary Humphrey. .

Born in Betchworth, Surrey in 1797, the thirty-seventh year of the reign of King George III, and died aged sixty-eight in Betchworth, Surrey in the twenty-ninth year of the reign of Queen Victoria  He has 1 direct descendant in the family.

A life at Gadbrook


The youngest of Benjamin Risbridger's seven sons, took over the running of the 216-acre Gadbrook Farm from his father.
He also farmed the neighbouring Tomkins Farm (owned by Rt Hon Henry Goulburn) with his elder brother George. He helped build Gadbrook Chapel (1834) on his own land and was buried in the graveyard there.
