Henry Stone



Born in Shere, Surrey in 1599, the forty-first year of the reign of Queen Elizabeth I, and died aged seventy-seven in Capel in the seventeenth year of the reign of King Charles II  He has 1 direct descendant in the family.

Clarks in Capel


Henry Stone inherited Clarks from his brother.
The will of Ralph A Stone in 1606 left his lands in Capel to his brother Henry A Stone, and refers to Henry's 'dwelling house in Capell called Clark's.'
Clarks Farm came into the ownership of the Lee Steere family towards the end of the 19th century.
