Ron was the son of Dale K. and Laura (Holliday) Pierce. Ron was a retired machinist who had worked at General Motors for more than 36 years. In his spare time he enjoyed doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles and watching cooking shows. He was a strong member of the local union, UAW 488, holding several leadership positions during his time as a member.
