An absence of venom

May Risbridge mentioned to Henry Risbridger that the crime thriller "Antidote to Venom" by Freeman Wills Crofts (c. 1930) was based on the Risbridger family. The book itself mentions a Sergeant Risbridger as a very minor character, beyond that there is no relevance. Crofts lived in Blackheath, Surrey at the time he wrote the book, so may have been aware of the Risbridger name.
